Hope Kids

Know - Love - Follow

In HopeKids, we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud and good leaders always care. We want kids to see how God's word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last. That's why it's important to make sure your child connects with the same friends, same leader, at the same hour, every weekend!

Hope Kids Ministry Environments

Infant & Toddlers

  • The infant & toddler rooms are open to serve you during all the weekend services. Staff and volunteers work hard to create a safe and meaningful experience for your children. We know that leaving your new baby for the first time can be overwhelming. The volunteers in our infant classrooms have been chosen for this age group because of their love for babies and their training to care for all of the needs of your infant.
  • Check-in information for infant & toddlers - Infants & Toddlers are checked in at the desk right outside the nursery rooms

Preschoolers

  • Our preschool programs are open to serve you during all the weekend services. When we meet, kids will have a connect activity/craft/game, where they have fun and get to play with some of the leaders in the room and get comfortable. After connect time, we have a large group lesson with video, music and teaching. And then children break out into small groups where they connect with their leaders and learn about ways they can remember what they've learned throughout the week.

Elementary - Kindergarten - 3rd grade

  • Our K-3rd grade programs are open to serve your kids during all the weekend services. When we meet, kids will have a connect activity/craft/game, where they have fun and get to play with some of the leaders in the room and get comfortable. After connect time, we have a large group lesson with video, music and teaching. And then children break out into small groups where they connect with their leaders and learn about ways they can remember and put into practice what they've learned throughout the week.

Elementary - 4th & 5th Graders

  • FAQs for parents

What security procedures does Hope use to make sure my child is safe?

Parents and children are issued matching identification tags in order to control access into our children's ministry areas and designate who is authorized to pick up your child.

Hope thoroughly checks and trains staff and volunteers to ensure a clean, safe, loving environment properly prepared to handle emergencies and security procedures.

My child has allergies. What can I expect?

Our Toddlers, 2, and preschool rooms serve snacks. The snack for the week is posted each week, so that you can see the snack of the week when you drop off your child. Be sure to advise us of your child's allergies, so we can provide an alternative snack.

Buddy Break - The weight and stress of finding proper doctors, teachers, and financial resources for a VIP child’s care can be overwhelming. Those responsibilities, as well as the never-ending demands for daily care-giving, are squeezed into days already filled with the usual routine of caring for a household, siblings, and self. Opportunities for caregivers to take time for themselves, run errands, or plan special one-on-one outings with children or a spouse are rare yet desperately needed to survive. Buddy Break provides a safe place for VIPs and their siblings to have fun and establish meaningful friendships with other kids and adults while their caregivers get a break.

    Who are VIP kids?

VIPs are kids with special needs, which include any physical, cognitive, medical or hidden disability, chronic or life-threatening illness, or those who are medically fragile. This program is for VIP children birth ages: 2-16 years old, and their siblings two years and up. Some Buddy Break locations expand their program based on their need to serve a wider age range.

    Who are Buddies?

Buddies are friends of VIPs. No previous experience with VIP kids is necessary to be a Buddy, just a loving heart, open arms, and a willingness to learn. Screened volunteer Buddies are paired one-to-one with a VIP kid. Buddies must be at least 14 years of age, complete a two-hour Buddy Training 101 program, and agree to have a background check run.

Feel led to help out?

Our volunteers minister during weekend worship services through singing with the children, telling stories and teaching the truth of God's Word.
